Now as yuletide is nearing us with haste and this years yule market is behind us, I am certain that my honourable readers may indeed find this article terrible shocking considering the blessed time that we are now in. This reporter, being a modest man who would not consider complaint for his own sake, does write these words out of only the most tender concern for his dear readers. They, whose wellbeing and access to information are my only concern. Last evening I - though not a man inclined towards drink or any such sinful behavior, was persuaded to partake in a celebration in The Three Ravens' Inn near the riverfront. Though an establishment of some ill repute I had been assured that the clientel had improved significantly. However as you ever most obedient narrator was minding his own business we were set upon by a group of sailors and though we defended ourselves bravely these ruffians hounded us out of the inn! That I lost a rather excellent watch to a gentleman and had comments made about my apparance that I shall not repeat - and therefore spare my dear readers a terrible ordeal, is not at all the course of my outrage. Nay, 'tis but for the esteemed readership I raise these alarms for surely the landlord must at once take care to rid his rooms of these beasts. I urge the population not to mix with these men for they are low enough to slader your truly and claim it was I who started the brawl and that I should have done so for not being able to get their table. To that I says: Nonsense! It is lies all. But I have faith that my readers will know the truth of it and demand that justice be done - for all of us!
The sun shines, the sky is mostly blue and the heat is at times quite intense. Summer is in full effect. The country side is overflowing with flowers and berries. Occasional western winds bring cooling relief.
